Members of BUMC donate their gently used clothing to be given to those in our community who need an extra blessing. Over 100 people were in line when we opened the doors. Thanks to all who donated and to those who worked to make this demonstration of God's love a reality in our community. May God continue to richly bless all those who gave and all those who received!
Here are some photos from our outreach day, B.A.R.K. (Bellville Acts of Random Kindness), which took place on April 20, 2008. Click on the link above to check out the pictures.
8-28-11 As Texas experiences a record drought other areas are hit hard by flood waters. Buckets to assist in clean-up efforts are assembled and sent to regional warehouses for distribution as needed. Today about 250 buckets were assembled.
March 09 Work Day
Here are a few of the workers on the 3-28-09 work day. Not all workers are shown. We had weed pullers, carpenters, parking lot stripers, closet and storeroom cleaners, concrete pourers, ditch diggers etc. Thanks to everyone who helped!
Bluebonnet Spring Fling 2014 April 8, 2014 was beautiful, windy, Texas spring day. "Ckick the Picture for More Images" Through personal vehicles and scheduled public transportation about 65 senior citizens from Bellville, to Industry, to Brenham and as far away as College Station were treated to a local Bluebonnet and wildflower tour around Bellville.
Residents from local nursing homes (Rose Hill, Colonial Bell and Briarwood, were picked up in public transportation busses and after the tour brought to the church where they were all treated to a gourmet meal, lively piano music and fresh peach pie from Newman’s Bakery, served with Bluebell Ice cream.
About 15 women and 6 men prepared and served the meal as well as handled wheelchairs and walkers. It was a glorious day!
